I'm Tarus Mateen, a seasoned bassist and producer with the privilege of having worked alongside music legends like Ms. Lauryn Hill and OutKast. With five Grammy nominations under my belt, my journey through the music world has been both vibrant and diverse, from the soulful rhythms of Sly and Robbie to the dynamic beats of Ghost Face, and never forgetting the 26 and counting years with Jason Moran and Nasheet Waits (The Bandwagon). Music is my language, and I am passionate about creating sounds that resonate and inspire. Whether I'm on stage or in the studio, my mission is to elevate the auditory experience. Let's create something extraordinary together.
